OAM Sports Academy is proud to have Irish rugby international, Andrew Trimble, as its patron.

Andrew has been involved with Out Of Africa Missions since 2004, visiting the team in South Africa on three occasions. Andrew's last visit was in May 2008, when he spent two weeks helping the Sports Academy staff and students with food preperation, Bible teaching and coaching.


Andrew's knowledge and coaching on the rugby field helped to develop our young players skills and abilities, but it was his love and faith in Jesus Christ that inspired the students most.

Andrew's time with us was the highlight for many of our young rugby students, however, a few of our footballers and netballers mistook him for Springbok international, Schalk Burger!
